Ok here is todays progress. Test model for Gor Finished product (they need basing and dullcoat) of the ungor and the Harpies The Command will get highlighting and a few special tweaks but the rank and file are gonna be quick easy and painless.. What do you think of the varying colors in the army? As a whole the factor tying them together is the fur but that is a bit different on the Gor too... Please don't hold back as I'm asking for your opinion!

This is great stuff. I really like the conversions. The flash in the pictures makes them look a little waxy. Are you going for a sweaty look?
Cheers,
Spanky.

Chris, I love the look you're getting with these beasts! If you get the chance, can you take some pictures before and after the dip? I have used "the dip", but I'd like to see what your figs look like before the stain is applied. I remember there being quite a difference. If I ever want to get a Skaven army painted to a decent standard, I think the only hope is to dip the majority of them. It would be great to see what sort of look they will need pre-dip to end up looking like I want. -Kevin

I have a bunch on the table that need to be dipped in a few more coats of paint.. I took a few days off painting after that marathon week. I'm sure my wife appreciated having a kitchen again! Give me a few days and I'll do a few different shots for ya.

I worked on the Beasties today. Got 20 Gor assembled and their unit fillers. Got my Beastlord assembled and another bray shaman together. Also wrote my list for this weekend and primed the Beastlord and Bray shaman. Tomorrow I think I will build 10 more Ungor Raiders and 3 Minotaurs. I want to also finish painting my first unit of Gor before the tournament on saturday too.. We'll see how much I get done. Chris Edit: My god I forgot. I found a Limited Edition BSB model that was from one of the Games Days. It cost me an arm and a leg but I bought it anyway! Here is a picture of one painted... This isnt mine...

Today I had every intention to build three Minotaurs and prime everything I had built over the last few days. I made a huge error and picked up my bass and started playing with Garage Band.... 5 hours later.... nothing got built. Oops.... I did however learn Happy Jack, and a few new walking bass riffs for jazz... at least I'm in a good mood LOL. I forgot to show you guys how the Gor front rank turned out! How dare I!!!!

Good luck! Keep the tools wet and let the GS set up a bit after mixing before you start working with it. Patience is the key! Work in layers and let an area dry before you do something else. Having ruined a good sculpting job by ramming my finger into an area that wasn't dry while trying to do another area and being "careful"...I speak from experience :>

Well... The work on the Gorgon came to a screeching halt today. I was hobbying while sitting on the couch and was making quite the mess on the living room floor with plastic shavings. After I posted the pics I was lookin at my work area and was a bit upset that I had to now clean up my couch so that I could sit and relax. It dawned on me that I'm on vacation and am not time restricted. I can start a project and actually see it through! Today I started building my MAN CAVE! My garage has been a repository for kitchen storage ware, cake holders, broken kids toys, unwanted clothes in bags, summer clothes, and whatever my family wanted out of sight. That ended at around 12 pm. I started throwing things back INTO the house. I made a huge pile in the living room for my wife and kids to sort through when they got home and boy were they upset that I ruined their normal routine. A proper hobby area was created, a heater was installed with plans for an air conditioner in the summer. A rug was found at Ikea, and plans for TWO tables were drawn up. Now I have a gaming room fit for this king. I have a week to complete it. Here is a picture of some of my progress, namely my hobby table/ work bench. Two feet deep and 4 feet wide it should be enough room for my gamer ADD. The constant changing of projects really has put a crunch on space in my house.

More Progress, The table is so heavy I am going to have to go buy some casters for it. I couldn't move it with my wife earlier. I bought some of those furniture mover sliders for under the legs and the thing is still like a tank to move. It's full of stuff as I needed to just get the stuff out of the way so I could finish the other parts of the project. I have a few more small things to clean up, other than that I'm done. Here are some pictures. First is a picture of my shelf, I have a ton of guard up there ready for paint which I got the other day and got a few new jars for my airbrush to store the paint I mix up. For those with a keen eye... yes there are 3 super heavies under that shelf... Baneblade, Stormlord, and a Shadowsword. Second is a shot of my WIP still in the box shelf Third is a shot of the shelf under the table. This thing is SO heavy... Last is the shot of the actual progress on the entire area. As you can see 13 hours can get you a ton accomplished. Time for a beer and a shower! Updates tomorrow when I get rollin.
