I may have told you guys that prior to Nov 09 I had been unemployed for 11 months. As such I had to sell a bunch of my high dollar stuff to make my family stay above water. My guns were the first to go Followed by my guitars and drums. I replaced my Guitars and as of Sunday I replaced my first pistol. Having some experience this time and knowing way more than I did the first gun I bought, I had a better grasp of what I was looking for. I've always been into old west movies, and cowboy stuff. I also was looking for a caliber that would allow me to shoot all day CHEAP! The natural conclusion there is .22 LR and the prefered single action shooter is of course Ruger. I bought a Ruger Single Six 60th Anniversary edition. Here she is. Things are officially right in my home again with the addition of this little girl. She shoots straight, and is pretty to look at. Now to break the news to my wife...... without getting shot LOL. Wish me luck, Chris

Very nice! Nothing beats a Ruger .22 for going out to burn ammo all day! Wish the .40 rounds for my Glock were cheap enough to just burn through boxes at a time!

I like that pistol a lot. Good choice for all the reasons you mentioned.
I feel your pain about selling firearms to keep the family afloat. When we moved back to NC and I was in rookie school (non-paid) and Denise was looking for a job money got very tight. I had to sell a gun a month for a while to make things work. In the years since I have refilled some of the missing holes, but not back up to where I was prior (maybe I never will be).
I have regretted selling almost every one of the firearms I have let go over the years.
I am glad you are building your collection back up :> Nice pic.
