Please help a noob out. I need to know how I can beat minotaur with my WOC. I am getting a rematch against a guy who had a unit with a doombull run right through my entire army last time we played.
I'm looking for whatever ideas you guys have. I was thinking I'd add a hell cannon, and perhaps try and tip the odds with the lore of shadow instead of tzeentch.

MMhh few options: - Gateway - Dogs to reroute and even if they run you done they wont get the extra attack, i think they need to beat you at combat. If you play smart there you get them on the flank > no support attack for them and all your bonus rank for you.. you shall manage with WoC. Good luck TBRO

Wouldn't Tzeentch with a fantastic ward save really do the trick? That can hold him while a character or maybe even the unit knicks away at him? Or Death magic?

Your doin something wrong then, they aren't that tough. His unit only has a 6+ armor save eat them and leave the Doombull to try and pass his leadership. Use khorne warriors with halberds or nurgle warriors with the same and a frenzy banner. Run your guys 7 wide. I like the Nurgle build better as he has -1 weapon skill when in base contact. The bulls also have lower Initiative than you so you should carve them up before they get to hit.
Here is how it should run down if he gets the charge. 3 impact hits, 2 warriors die. You strike at initiative with the Doombull. You're 7 wide at 175 wide he is 3 wide at 120 wide your going to get 6 in combat after you maximize. You have a champ I assume? If so your front rank has 19 attacks at str 5 and your back rank is an additional 6. He's -1 WS from nurgle and you allocate your champ and 1 guy plus the guys in the back rank at the doombull cause they are in base. Your going to hit half the time on the doombull giving you 4-5 hits and then 3 of those wound at -2. your going to get at least one by his armor.
My build has my doombull at a 3+ and a 4+ ward. Now he has 5 attacks at str 5 mine would have 7 as I give hand weapon and many limbed fiend. He's going to hit you 3 times and wound you 3 as he only needs 2's.
Now comes your rank and file, your getting 4 guys in base and 4 supporting attacks for a total of 16 attacks at his minotaurs and this is where your getting your combat rez. his minotaur are now WS3 cause of mark of nurgle so you're hitting on on 3's. You hit at least 10 times, we'll call it 11 for sake of argument, and you need 3's to wound. Are you running lore of shadow cause you could use the toughness debuff to make this even nastier for him. Your going to get 9 wounds and kill 3 minotaur.
That leaves him with a Bloodkine and his standard. They hit on 4's with 11 attacks so they hit you 5 times, and wound 3. You may save 1. Now he stomps with three and you take 2 more Killing both.
He has killed 7 has the charge and a standard for 9. You Killed 10 have a rank and a standard giving you 12. He's testing on a 5 re rollable if his BSB is close. In the next round you're going to kill that unit if you haven't run them down already.
If you had a lord in that unit the results would be MUCH different those were just regular warriors marked nurgle! I was also assuming that he had a unit of 5 minotaurs with the doombull in it. If he had 6 in the unit then he is going to have 3 more attacks and may kill 1 more of you so would test on a 6 for leadership. A tooled up Chaos lord also has 6 attacks at STR 5 and up. My friend runs the ogre blade giving a chaos lord str 8. He single handedly would kill that doombull. Just get your debuffs on that unit for str and toughness, and then play whack a mino.
hope this helps.
