Hey Steve, I don't think the double treeman is too much for the environment. That list will land you in the "optimized" category as far as comp banding goes (effects your first 2 rounds of match ups) if that matters to you at all. I think your list is cool, but you are match up dependant for sure! You are in big trouble if you come up against flaming artillery or metal mages (searing doom is the scourge of treemen ) You will do very well against some other armies though. :> I saw your army in the other thread, it looks good! I am excited about meeting you brother. -Erik

That's funny....it is very similar to a list I have been running lately prepping for the Bash with my Wood Elves.
Must be a great minds thinking alike type of thing.

I have yet to face WEs in this ed. I don't see an issue with 2 Treemen. I agree with Erik about the match-up dilemma. Dwarves would be a frightening foe for you. In all actuality WHFB is a game of match-ups so I would bring that list and have fun.

I don't think he should get nocked for it not with the prominence of the flaming banner due to the abom....

The list has already changed a bit. I will have somewhere between 0 and 3 Treeman

Haha, nice Steve Treeman it up brother. I can not imagine a scenario in which I would veto any form of woodelf list. -Erik

WE are not as bad as people think, in fact I think they have greatly benefited from 8th. The Lore of Life makes it very easy for those Treemen to get healed, and Treekin are always a tough nut to crack. Also watch out for that magic item that lets them re-roll their dispel dice.

The changes in charge distances really hampered the wood elves playstyle. It used to be a catch me if you can style army that would widdle you down and get half points for every unit you had on the board. Now.... they struggle unless you're running a tree spirit army.

Wild Rider Noble with Crown of Command and Dragonbane Gem(he will make my Treekin stubborn) I love this idea of stubborn Treekin. I really need to paint up a BSB real quick. Treeman + BSB was considered the ultimate of 'cheeze' in 7th ed. and now 2 + BSB is not being met with any resistance. LOVE IT!!! I need to see if I can make my WE Forest spirits work in 8th without adding more units. The only elves I have painted are 5 Wild Riders, 3 Alters, and a unicorn mage.

Dryads are still _really_ good and undercosted. Nothing changed that. They are also stubborn in woods-which you can move around.
