This is going to sound dumb as its spelled out pretty clear in the rules...
Lore of death: Spirit leech says that you use the targets unmodified leadership... If I were to cast Doom and Darkness on the target before I cast Spirit leech you still roll on the targets normal leadership? Say I had a banner that lowers leadership. I still use say a 9 on most armies lords.... Why bother with Doom and darkness except for combat break tests......

Not that dumb question according to me... I'd still stick with Unmodified as no bonus or malus, and I think the def of Unmodified Ld was FAQed not that long ago... worth checking there i guess. Sorry Bro

Yeah, if you read the current FAQ about the 10th question says anyhing thats makes a unit take a unmodified leadership spefically ignores Doom and Darkenss or any modifier from any source and uses the highest leadership in the unit

Yeah, it just seems weird that you have leadership de-buffing spells and then cant use em for the most prolific spell in the lore. It must have had something to do with game balance as I know it would have been powerful if you could drop leadership then cast that spell..
I'm going to try it anyway and see how it goes.
