Okay so with getting all my Orc and Gobbs together I realize there are a lot of them and giving them all the loadout of weapons for any situation comes to my opinion of "whatever is in the front rows is what the unit is armed with." Seems to be something we go with out here on the island and I like it for gamers on a budget(like me).
Just wanted to know how conservative or liberal people on here are with WYSIWYG.

As long as you gave me a heads up and I could easily tell without asking every time how the unit was armed I would personally not care. Having to ask every time gets rather annoying for both of us.
There are a very small handful of people who are uber uptight about this stuff but they seem to be the exceptional minority.

I agree with Domus 100% (See Domus, it _can_ happen ) On an aside, you know what army gives me the most fits when it isn't WYSIWYG? Brets. I have been burned more times by Brets and all their units looking alike than any other army. Sooooo many Bret players use the same models to represent Grail, Errant and KotR that it does get a little annoying. That is a little pet peeve of mine (note: This is usually when the Bret army is not painted... if painted I rarely have any problems) -Erik

LOL!
I have had the EXACT same problem out here with Brets too. But most of the time I end up chewing them up.

I am of the opinion that if the front rank looks right then the rest of the rable can be carrying an asortment of weapons.
also and this goes along Erik's point.
I do not like so much when the same models represent different troop types or troops armed differently.
An eg using your army.
Unit 1 are all night gobs armed with shd and spear. in the game they are NG with shd and spear.
Unit 2 are all night gobs armed with shd and spear. in the game they are NG with bows and nets.
This would bug me.

Oh I totaly agree with all of what you say! I hate useing as proxy as much as I hate useing bare plastic minis. So I would always have the first rank represent what the model actually has!

Walk,
Just to be clear. I was not finger pointing and sugesting that that is what you do, just using OnG's as an example.
I love the rabble look with some armies, especialy OnG.

I would say that open or closed lists make a difference. If you exchange lists before the game WYSIWYG doesn't matter. You see the list and know what you are getting.
