Ok, I have a WOC sorc. on disc. - The disc is a warbeast according to the book.
- A ridden warbeast is considered cav.
- My Cav/disc flies
So am I "Flying Cav" or "Cav that flies" flying cav seems like its a condition, not a special rule. The special rule being fly. If I'm flying Cav, then I get all the rules for skirmish and fast cav so I get -1 to be shot and a vanguard move. If I'm cav that flies... I'm cav that flies. Just curious what y'all think. -Ken

This is how I see it. "Flying Cavalry" is a special rule, not a unit type. You either have the special rule or you don't. Nothing in any of the sections of unit types that your character is in gives you that special rule.
So while you might be cavalry that flies you don't automatically get the "Flying Cavalry" special rule.
For instance, Bretonnians: Peg Knights are classed as Monsterous Cav in the BRB. They can fly. That doesn't make them Flying Cavalry. They explicitly have the "Flying Cavalry" special rule in their rules. Bret character on a Pegasus- Pegasus is MB. When mounted it becomes MC, that flies... but does not have the special rule "Flying Cavalry" so doesn't get vanguard and -1 to hit etc...

I've got to agree with Erik.
Unless you have the special rule of flying cav, the bonuses won't apply.

Sounds good. Thanks a bunch. Thats about what we had worked out over here, but thought I would get a second opinion.
