Dwarf list for first toureny..Feedback plase

i am attending my first local tourney next week and have spent the last month painting up 2200 points of dwarfs. Here is the list I am planning on taking. Looking for feedback on the list if you could please. This is suppose to be a no filth tourney.

I'm not totally sure about Dwarves, but I have a buddy that plays them regularly.

The thing that scares me the most and rightfully so, is the organ gun. That basically gives your army a 24" bubble, there are few units who can stand up to that thing when it fires.

I'm not sure what your gaming group considers filth, but that could be a nice addition to the list. If you don't have it painted or hate the thing, then ignore my comments. Just throwing my .02 in.

Might I suggest the Master Rune of Grungni on your Longbeards? Run the Slayers next to them. This gives the Slayers a much needed bubble of protection against shooting. The Organ Gun is good times too.

I would tone back the magic defense a bit and use the extra points for some more offensive stuff. For the worst spells (dwellers, purple sun, etc.) players will just throw 6 dice at it gunning for IF, which will negate the fact you have all the scrolls.

Rune of accuracy on the grudge thrower would help out tremendously.

Since your list is sort of gun line light you may want to rethink the Slayers. They are not the best at sitting back and waiting for the enemy to come to you. If you have your heart set on slayers, that is some very good advice above about running the slayers next to a unit with the Grungi standard.

Maybe swap out one unit of Thunderers for a unit of quarllers. Sometimes the range helps and the extra points could be useful somewhere else.

Thanks for the feedback. I have organ gun on the paint table along with 20 more warriors, 15 hammers and 20 miners. Should have them done for the next event.

I would second cutting back on the magic defense. I don't like the Spell eater runes as much as the regular dispel scroll runes, but you might get lucky and eat a spell I suppose.

I do like the slayers, even if they might not be the optimal use of points. I tend to keep my dragon slayers cheap cheap cheap. I'd rather have 2 than 1 that costs 100-just my opinion, YMMV. Along that same line I just can't justify giant slayers. They cost SOO much! again, I'd rather have another dragon slayer character than 2 giant slayers. With three DS characters you could cause all sorts of havoc with cheap horde units like skaven slaves, gnoblars and goblins hahaha.

A grudge thrower with accuracy and 2x penetrating is terrible to behold on the battlefield. It kills stuff by the droves. I like your engineers on the warmachines. Those are ALWAYS worth their points. I favor a brace of pistols if I have the points. 2 str4 stand and shoot shots is nothing to sneeze at.(at least against units that often charge warmachines) and it gives an additional attack in CC as well.

The organ gun is really useful like Hodge said.

Yeah, I never have good luck with Spell Eaters. Frequently never get an opportunity to use it and if I do, I fail the roll. I'm thinking about trying the spell eater unconventionally.
