That is right Eoin, 100 Vp for a win. Some folks complain about the small draw window, but I actually like it. I think draws _should_ be rare. Another thing the small 100 VP window does is make it much harder to "play" for a draw. Getting and maintaining a 1-99 VP margin is kinda tough to count on With that said, I have seen more draws in 8th than I thought I would when I first saw the window had been changed to 100 VP... maybe it is just coincidence :> -Erik

No problem 100 for a win is the way we normally play. It does make draws pretty rare in my experience but they happen. But the pre-errata victory conditions were brutal. Double the points of the enemy? It was rough unless you massacred the enemy.

Get that passport taken care of brother! I don't want your friends to have to ship you down to me in a box, or smuggle you across the border in the trunk. I don't have any connections with the Canadian border patrol ;D -Erik

Its the US border patrol that worries me...we all know each other on the Canadian side so it's all good. (An we're honest folk)

Heh, I've travelled through East Germany before the wall fell, so I've seen border guards less friendly than the US guards ... but that's not saying much.
Quick question regarding the tournament: open list or closed list?

What time do things usually wrap up by Sunday night?
Are you available for a game Friday, Eric?

Brian Griffin....
I have dispatched one of our new teammates "Ken Stubbs" to destroy you. (and to redeem his horrific result at Border wars GT) He needs to defeat you and your "miyagi do karate" for his initiation into the Kobra Kai.
Afterwards you might gain entry vs the other masters....
you accept?

Do I know Ken? Miyagi Do Karate is impervious to everything except leg sweeps. If Ken tries to sweep the leg then I will have to bust out the Crane Kick. I would hate to bust it out in game one, I want to keep it in the arsenal along with my lucky day card until game 5. Erik needs to hear back from the two other panel judges but it looks like my army is going into the hard bracket. Is Ken bringing a "hard" army? I wouldn't feel right playing him if he was in the med. or fluffy category. If we are in the same category (or if Ken doesn't care) and Erik is cool with it then Ken will get a steady dose of wax on/wax off and some nasty sand the floor action. He and the Kobra Kai should watch this video to prepare for what's coming at the Bash: www.funnyordie.com/videos/c8ad4aa802/wax-on-f-ck-off-with-ralph-macchio

Its on! I'm running WOC, so of course I'm in the "hard" category. Primarily because they didn't put in a "completely unbeatable" category. I'll talk to the TO about that for next year. See you then.

I'm willing to up the Ante a little bit. I will have a special Tshirt made that says. I got my bottom beat at the Brawler Bash! in BIG RED letters with a KobraKai logo on the back. Loser has to wear it for the rest of the day. You in?

Loser has to wear it for the rest of the day. You in? Miyagi-Do Karate accepts the challenge. If Ken loses then Jerry has to wear a special Tshirt that says "I got Crane Kicked at the Brawler Bash" If Miyagi-Do Karate finishes higher in the standings than all of the Kobra Kai members then Erik can append "I got Crane Kicked at the Brawler Bash." to your names for the next month. If I fail to place higher then Erik can append "The Kobra Kai swept my leg at the Brawler Bash." to my name for the next month. Do you accept my counter offers? ;D

As this will be my first GT, are there any GT specific rules that I might need to know?
For example is it open or closed lists? Do I need to have more than one copy of my list available?
Sorry if any of this is covered in the rules, I checked but could of missed something.
Good luck to everyone
Steve
