No joke - what you've done is by far my favorite that I've seen of daemons. W O W! That is super tasty!
I played Khorne Daemons before Storm of Chaos with my longest winning streak being 17 games straight. However, I played them because they skipped the shooting and magic phase. This was important because I was the slowest player in Illinois at the time. Also, as my first painted army, my paint job was simply brown ink over blood red flesh with gunmetal swords. 2 exalteds, five units of 12 bloodletters, five units of 5 flesh hounds, and eventually mixed in 4 bloodcrushers.

Holy hell batman! Those are fantastic. The bases really set off the feeling of being in hell! Nicely done!

When I saw the title I thought it was a slander thread ... then I saw who posted ;D Thanks for posting the picts Don. I really like this army of yours. I am usually not a fan of mono chromatic bases (wether just simply painted black/green or just an overall lack of textures/colors/etc...) but I really like your bases. They absolutely work with this army! -Erik

Really awesome work! The flame/lava look is very cool. It's a nice bit of bling to the overall mini. It kind of flexes your paint brush, if you know what I mean.
Hmmm.....seeing your movement trays makes me jealous. I've got a bunch of home made movement trays that I use for all my minis. They are generic sizes. They are sheets of metal on pressboard. The minis usually line up right on the edge. It's great for gaming, but I feel like I miss out on the artistic aspect of it. You don't really see the tray when moving the unit around.
I have to admit that Chaos has a lot of cool background and they rarely suck as an army type. I've been Ong since I started and it's been a rough ride. I could admit that I've been tempted at times to go with Chaos. They always get cool fluff. I have to admit that I'm Green at heart, though.

I get just as many comments on the movement trays as I do the models, but take it from me -- DO NOT DO THIS!
Those movement trays have almost made me pitch those models against the wall. They catch on everything, cloth, wood, you name it. These are older pictures, those chips break off all the time and would be for display purposes only. they certainly don't look like that anymore.
For gaming and sanity reasons I went to the "edgeless" movement trays like you mentioned. Way easier for measuring and movement although I love that in the 8th edition rulebook they actually mention to ignore movement trays for measuring. It's those odd sentences in the BRB that help me enjoy 8th edition more.

Really nice work amigo!
Loving the "lighting" effect on the weapons and the bases are great.
What part of Canada you playing out of...
Cheers,
Spanky.

Truly great stuff. It really just reminds me that in the right hands the Khorne army can be one of the most beautiful armies on the table.

Very nice strong theam to the whole army.
The dark base helps the reds and yellow stand out.
The molten work on the swords and juggers is a nice touch from the normal brass.

This was important because I was the slowest player in Illinois at the time. And this changed when? Because if you aren't still the slowest player in Illinois (indeed, perhaps in all of Warhammer) then I missed a memo.... We call it "Getting Tommed" for a reason you know.... ;D

This is lovely. I didn't see it before so kudos to the threadomancers who brought it back to the top! The magma effect is a great effect making everything stand out. My only constructive criticism would be that the hounds / furies suffer by comparison. I played Khorne Daemons before Storm of Chaos with my longest winning streak being 17 games straight. Tom quit playing against my tomb kings just so he could achieve this record. Staff of Ravening > Khorne Demons
