I have some friends who started up a .com back in the day. The encryption levels they wanted to use forced them out of the US. They went to a tropical island thinking it would be paradise. They hated it. The worst, they said, was the hurricanes. Their data center had power, but the water pumps didn't. No shower for a week for each hurricane. After that, there was nothing to do but drink. There is only so much sitting on the beach that you can do before you are bored. I don't think they were there for longer than 6 months before they moved to Ireland.

I just realized that all my bloodletters are dipped too! I'm through about 1/8 a can so far with dipping a bunch of Beastmen and now almost a full unit of Bloodletters so the stuff is lasting quite a long time.

I have to say that living on an island isn't all its cracked up to be. You only ever have one season, it usually costs over what the unit actually costs to get things shipped out here. Typical items found in the states are super hard to find here. (Try finding cranberries during Christmas, ridiculous) Not to mention I know all of you love Warhammer and I have played a total of 2 games in 5 weeks.

Okay so one unlucky Night Gobbo forced me to realize I'm probably not going to dullcoat these guys untill I leave this rock. No worries, the dip worked fantastically and I am absolutely going for grey cloaks and blue moons(in honor of one of my favorite beers). Still up about red or regular wood for hafts.

Did the dull coat screw up the goblin? If so you didn't give the dip enough time to dry. If it cracked and gave it a weird look that was your issue. You MUST wait at least twenty four hours before you dullcoat them.
Also watch the humidity, it can affect the dull and make it cloudy. I have recently tried the anti shine spray from army painter and it works PERFECTLY! at $8 a can its a mid priced alternative that IMHO is the best product on the market. I've tried EVERYTHING for sealcoating stuff.... this is my favorite. I ordered my from the war store. Neil over there is awesome.
Take a picture of the goblin for us I wanna see what happened so I can help.

I am pretty much 100% sure that the Matte fogged because of humidity. Which out here never changes out here. It dried for about 3 days so I know that wasn't the issue. Yay, figured out hot to post pictures from my blog!

Sorry to hear about that gobbo. Besides the humditiy, did you put it on too thick? All you need is the very lightest of passes on each side. I agree with Chris M. the AP anti-shine works great. I also got from Neil

It was a light coat. I'm posative it was the humidity. Unfortunately since 9/11 they won't ship spraypaint through the mail and the humidity never changes. Seems like they are gonna be shiny till I get back to the mainland.

I was using a wash then spraying a clear coat on.
I tried using a strong coat on my Orc boyz. I didnt like the strong. Dark probably would be better.
I dont think I like the dipping because I cannot control the amount of shading in an area. I tried dipping them and shaking and noticed there were clumps. So I switched to painting it on and liked it a lot better. I also like that I dont have to spray paint the clear coat on which can lead to problems all by its self. So for the rank and file I would use the dip, for important models I would not use it.
Over all for the price, its not worth it. I will use the can I have, but for 30$ or whatever I will stick with my shading and spraying. I don't think it saves me very much time.
Also you can make your own search the internet and you can find instructions.

That's how I pretty much plan to do it. I have 150+ NG to get ready not to mention my 100+ Orcs. I'll do the rank and file and then do the characters some other way. I did find out there is a painting clean room where I work for powder coating so I may go there to matte them. Gotta love working in an industrial shipyard!
