Invent a unit contest

I would like to announce the new contest, this contest will run till March 25th . We will announce the prize soon, but you can exchange the item for any Scibor item $30 in value.

Anyone in the U.S. can enter. All you have to do is create a Warhammer Fantasy unit.

This includes model concept, stats, point values and complete rules. It should fit in the world of warhammer. The idea for this contest came from a bunch of different sources.
One of my favorite tournaments in the world is at Adepticon its call “The Gladiator” unfortunately for me it’s a 40k event. In this event you are allowed to use all that forgeworld resin collecting dust on the shelf. Another source was the new Warhammer Forge releases which, I am extremely excited about. I thought marry the gladiator with Warhammer Forge and make a fantasy version of it. The problem is while Warhammer Forge is in its infancy we need more units, and then I thought about the Indy GT lists. I love those as well, why not write one of those with crazy units and maybe someday use them in a gladiatoresque tournament. By the time this tourney comes around the Warhammer Forge will probably have a couple books and combined with ours would produce enough units.

You can use anything you want to build your entries. Feel free to use concept sketches, conversions, real world pictures of inspiration like animals and weapons.. This is a pretty open competition. The winner or potentially winners will probably be selected by poll on one of the particpating forums.

You could take an out of print GW model and reinvent it. Or you find a cool model from an alternate range and write the rules and background for it.Your entry does not have to be big or out of this world it could be simple “Beastmen Dark Spites, based on snotlings” theres a free one feel free to use it.

A few things I thought I maybe should mention. We have the right to use your invention for anything we want, and the right to change it after the contest. This contest is subject to change, mainly because I did not proofread this. send your final entries to me at [e-mail]

I have always liked the idea of a Hero Level Kroxigor. GW has hinted at Nakai the Wanderer, but he has never had any rules. Here is the fluff from Wikipedia:

Nakai is an albino Kroxigor with unusually thick skin, even for a Kroxigor. In the siege of one of the temple cities, Nakai held off five legions of daemons by himself until the arrival of reinforcements. He disappeared after the battle and was believed dead, but has reappeared numerous times since then, often arriving at a temple-city shortly before it is attacked. Many Skink priest implies that he may actually be an avatar of Quetzl and will one day return to fight for Lustria once again. He once fought alongside Tehenhuain and the red-crested skinks against the Skaven.

Blessed by Tepok - Nakai bears the blessing of tepok in his albino skin he adds one die to the armies dispel pool and has a 5+ Ward Save.

Steadfast Against Chaos - Models from destruction armies suffer a -1 to hit Nakai, and Nakai may reroll his failed Armor and Ward Saves against their attacks. He is also stubborn and immune to psyche against units from destruction armies.

Avatar of Quetzl - Instead of deploying Nakai normally, you may choose to hold Nakai in reserve, at the beginning of each turn roll a die on the first turn you may bring Nakai into play on a 3+. On the second turn he enters play on a 2+, and he automatically enters on the 3rd turn. He enters play in the same way as reserves from any board edge. Nakai can join and leave units as normal, but a unit may not be deployed with him if he uses his Avatar or Quetzl rule.
