Hi Guys, The new OnG book is out and there is a new unit called the Mangler Squigs. The idea is that you have two giant squigs that are chained together with a few goblins that try to steer them in the right direction. It goes on a 60mm round base and moves 3d6. If it hits an enemy, it does 2d6 S6 hits. Then, it moves like a fanatics, but 3d6. There is a guy on Da Warpath that is using some DE Cold Ones to make some fantastic conversions. i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/demonic_ken/night%20goblins/DSCF1143.jpg[/img] So, those are just AWESOME! My problem is that I don't have any Cold Ones on hand. I'm looking at the various bitz places and the DE Cold Ones are quite expensive. The Lizardmen Cold Ones are very cheap in comparison. I don't really know either model well at all. I'm tempted to use the Lizardmen one, just b/c of the price. I can't tell if it's a uni-pose, though. So, all of them are the same. That won't work. Also, I can't tell if it would look as good. I'm not an insane converter, in fact, I'm just getting into it. So, if there is anyone out there that could let me know if the Lizardmen Cold Ones are good enough, I'll save myself some money and get them. Or, does anyone know if I can expect to find some Cold One bitz at Adepticon???

The Liz cold ones are just the older version of the Cold Ones. They new DE ones from the CoK box set are the new design. The ones he is useing are the older ones which you can pick up on Ebay or The WarStore. I freaking wish I could sculpt that good because I would totaly do up a few of those.

Would these work, then? They seem all the same, though.

I think those would be perfect! The tail on the new CO is pretty long(Which makes ranking them up a nightmare) so it wouldnt look good and would require work. These look great with a naturaly short tail and saddle already in place. If I was going to do it I would just make the unique feeling in the faces of the squigs. Running is running and most will look like they are in an all out sprint anyways.
