I would like to echo the sentiments of others on this forum in congratulating you on your great shows so far; I especially enjoy your accents. Looking forward to your coming shows! :)
The US Warhammer Podcasts like yours and Joe and Chuck's have been great to listen to, there is certainly a very active WFB scene over there. They are also a welcome change from those foul mouthed Aussie boys.
Keep up the good work!
Tim

G'day back at ya! It is so exciting to me how warhammer is enjoyed across the world. Yep, we intend to keep it clean.
What army are you working on or playing?
Also, are the older figs appreciated in NZ, or is everybody all about the new figs? I imagine, same as here, there are a few lead lovers amongst the rest that like the latest. However, I'm not sure what areas of the world collected/played in the first few editions.

I am curerntly working on an infantry-heavy Empire Army from Nuln. I've loved Empire lore for years, but have plenty of state troops left to get. Iam eagerly awaiting the Avatars of War Witch Hunter to go on sale so I can add him to my converted War Altar. Most of my time at the moment is going towards organising our group's map campaign, which I am GMing. Obtaining fortresses, buildings, siege towers, writing rulebooks, painting map tiles etc :)
I am sure there are plenty of 'lead heads' around - GW has a long history over here, and it is easy to import OOP products. Even early editions managed to find thier way down here. There are always old models on our online trade sites - I just bought some of the old lead greatswords the other week. I'd say there would be a veritable treaure trove of metal armies in garages all over, but my impression is that the newer players go for the new ranges. The nostalgia types seek the OOP's.

It's cool that another warhammer podcast from my neck of the woods gets listened to around the world.

Welcome to the forums Timothias! Come often and rest easy here. I believe you are our first New Zealander! And to answer your question/comment about the war mammoth, yes, it has made an appearance over on warhammer-empire forums. You could have seen it there :> I am glad you enjoy listening to the show. -Erik

Great to hear from you, Timothias! I was excited to hear you mention Nuln! I have only proxied Empire armies, so far, but I have a soft spot in my heart for the humble Empire engineers and the Gunnery School in Nuln.
Have you gotten a chance to play any with your Nuln-themed list in 8th ed.?

Hi Kevin! Yes, my gaming group and I have had several dozen games so far. I have taken flak ('scuse the pun) about fielding handgunners instead of crossbows which can shoot first turn, but the Black Reik Fusiliers have proven themselves time and again. I am a big fan of infantry heavy armies, and my friends get annoyed when they face a gunline, so my army has evolved to a nice balanced combined arms list which I love. I even picked up a steam tank last weekend and painted it in just 12 hours so I could field it against some High Elves! The Nuln colour scheme also looks very good on the table - black, red, gold... awesome. I have gleaned a lot of lore type stuff from the old fantasy roleplay supplements. Highly recommended source material
