Hi guys,
Andrew from the frozen north here...loving the Brohammer so far.
I'm the guy that Erik and Kevin talked about maybe doing a show in Episode 1. Still waiting on my invite ;D
So hobby wise, I've been playing for 8 years starting with 6th ed. My main armies are
Vampire counts
Ogres
Orcs and Gobbos
Chaos work in progress
Dark Elves just buying these bad boys right now.
I have Lizardmen and Slaneesh demon army as well but they aren't 8th ed legal so I'm throwing out
I'm also a 40k player...I actually have a been loving it but not playing too often.
Got SoB, Orks, Tau, and Necrons.
Love Blood Bowl as well and have like 10 teams, but prefer my Skaven. Haven't tried the new edition but itching to give it a go.
Now back to Warhammer...
I always build to exactly 2000 points and play the same list ever time. Rarely I'll build a few more units to get 2400 say but that is the exception. My favourite part of the hobby is definitely the modeling. I've really gotten into either counts as models like my Undead Dwarves that count as Vampire Counts or armies with scenic bases typically depicting battle scenes like my orcs and choas.
I'm current running a small campaign and having a blast. It's unique in that there is no map and weekly commitment. It's completely based on playing games or activities related to warhammer (like painting, scenario writing, drink with your buddies). Every activity or game gets you points and the weekly results dictate the story line and next weeks achievements. I'll talk more about that another time.
Getting ready for a good tournament up here in Ottawa coming in Feb 2011 called Gamesummit. I'm running this one for the second time and while it's a usually a small turnout, I really enjoy it. This will be 4 games 2400 points, no special characters and a minimum of 6 units (excluding characters) are required. The scenarios will be increasing in challenge as they go.
Well enough blabbering for now...
Oh and I plan on coming down to NC again. Last time I lost the right to capitalize my name on any warhammer forum, so I need a revenge match against Erik.
Cheers,
Spanky.
