Hello,
Just finished listening to the 2nd episode on my way home for the weekend and thought I would join the forum as I am realy liking your new show.
I have been playing WHFB since the first edition skirmish game and have to say that 8th edition still holds just as much fun for me.
And
You can never have too many good podcasts when you drive 5 1/2hrs each way to get home.

Welcome to the forums Warhamsterdave! Come often and rest easy here. Road trips are a great way to listen to podcasts. I drive from NC to Northern IL just about every year. With the kids it takes us about 18 hours. I drive straight through and usually at night (so the midgets sleep ) podcasts make it easy to stay awake. I am glad you are enjoying the show Dave. What armies are you rocking in 8th? -Erik

Ouch! That's a drive. Is that Jordy territory, too? You probably get picked on by those in Glasgow, too!
I used to bartend in Edinburgh back in the 90's for a short time on a student visa. I got to kick around Scotland a bit, but only drove through Glasgow. In fact, the only GW store I've ever been in was the one on Prince's Street. The nearest one in the US to me is in Springfield, VA, which is 6 hours and 40 minutes (according to Google).

Not a Geordie no. I'm a Yorkshire pudding from the North Yorkshire coast or a cod head if you feel like it.
Not had any probs in Glasgow with the locals, most people are pretty easy going.

When I first arrived in London for a week, everyone thought I was crazy to go up to Scotland. "They're crazy up there." is what I kept hearing. Also, if I heard "Stitch this, Jimmy", I was to back up as they would be about to headbutt me. I didn't find anything like that. In fact, I even asked someone who laughed and said they saved it all for the English.
Ahh.....Geordy with a G.
