Grrrreeetings from the Norway........

....Which is a country and not the capital of sweden as too many foreigners seem to believe

Anyhow, now that I've set that one straight right away I'll introduce myself.

I'm hitting 30 this year, am a dentist and live in a town called Alta, which is in the northernmost part of Norway. What it looks like here......think Alaska.....same thing....
I'm married and have two sons, oldest is two and the youngest is one year old.


I got back into the hobby 2 years ago after a 12 year hiatus. I started back in 5th edition with wood elves and that's the army I started on when I got back too. I was aiming for 1500 points just for the fun of painting it, but of course the snowball started rolling and I now have 5000 points of painted wood elves, 3000 points of painted dwarfs (which I'm currently repainting because my first paint job was shit) 2500-3000 points of unpainted skaven and high elves, and I started collecting VC this week.

I think I maybe should have a diagnose for this......anyway things are getting painted at a slower and slower rate since a) I have less time with two little mischievous rascals running around (god I love em....can't wait to turn them into gamers)
b) I'm getting more picky with my painting so I have gone from 20 min a model to an hour a model....results are improving though

I guess I have to say I'm a hobbyist more than a gamer, since I don't get to play games at all. No one around here tht I know play warhammer so that's a bummer....I do play several games of theory hammer in my head everyday thoug....maybe that too should be diagnosed.......

So I started listening to brohammer recently after hearing about it form mister mcClure on the point hammered paint night cast. (damn word splitting iPad..........)

Well that's a little about me.....now I have go change some pampers. My toddler is spreading a nasty odour in the room now......funny how that makes me think of pointhammered........

Welcome to the forums Norseman! Great to hear that even across vast oceans, children still have the awesome power to slow your hobby time down to a crawl

Good luck finding some WFB players in your area. You might have to do what I did and recruit someone (like I did my brother). Also, you might like the warhammer game that you can play online (NOT "Warhammer Online"). I can't recall the name atm (used to be called Lorenzo... maybe still is?), but I am sure Tom or Jim E. or someone else will pop in with it. Kinda' fun and you can actually get games in!

Thanks. That Lorenzo thing sounds cool. I've tried some WFO using ms paint and readymade templates in jpg format, but it take forever to do sig a game....a pm withsome info on this would be nice
