Hey guys, Found your Podcast and it is great to hear from guys in my neck of the woods. I am in Columbia SC. We have a decent store here that heavily supports GW/WH. Every Saturday you can usually get a game with at least 1 tournament each month.
I am 42 years old, but only been playing fantasy for the last 3-4 years. I have 3 daughters (11,9,7)and a son (5).
My primary army is WE, but I am also starting Vampires.
Look forward to hearing more from you guys and as we are only about 3 hours away, maybe meet at some of your events at some point.

Welcome to the forums Steve! It is great to hear from a (somewhat) local :> That is one of our main goals of the show: to promote the hobby locally.
It is also good to hear about someone with as large a family as yours(ours!) being able to carve out some time for WFB. Glad to hear it. :>
Have you ever been to a GT (2 day event-Indy or otherwise)? It is a big time investment, but it can be a lot of fun. Before the kids, Denise and I went and traveled quite regularly, but I will admit, my tournament travel has slowed down to almost nil in the past couple of years. If something like that is even remotely possible you should consider the Brawler Bash that we put on ever year in Raleigh, NC. Dates this year are April 9th and 10th 2011.
I have been through Columbia, SC several times, but many years ago. In the mid 90's, I almost started a bar/restaurant there with another guy, but I decided to steer my life in a very different direction. Story for a different forum :>
Glad to have you aboard Steve.
-Erik

Thanks Erik It is a weird coincidence, beyond have 4 children, that after hearing your occupations I can relate as I was a Law Enforcement Specialist when I was in the USAF. I am now retired and work at a National Guard base as a state employee with a Civil Engineering unit. Did I mention that I grew up in Indiana and am now living in the south Anyway I have not been to any big events to date. As I stated earlier I am lucky as I do get to play at least once a week and get to do a tourney (usually 6-8 people) each month. I was thinking about Adepticon, but the guys I was going to go with were primarily 40K players and as most 40K events are sold out may not be going. I may be able to bring a few guys your way for something bigger. Thanks again. -Steve Bewley
