I have known Erik for awhile now from the Brawler Bash and just started listening to the podcast.
For those that do not know me, my name is Tony and I live in High Point. I used to try and play in tournaments at least once a month, but having a wife and newborn has severely limited my playing time. In fact I am lucky to get a friendly game in once a month or so. I have been to local tournaments at SFG and PBKW, and try and help out our local gaming area "The Cage" when I can. I have attended many Baltimore GTs and the Colonial GT a few years ago.
Being in High Point the gaming scene doesn't have a store to focus player interest, and most games are played in people's garages and basements. That is fine, but there is no sense of a gaming community like there is in Charlotte & Durham.
I just play Fantasy nowadays using my beloved WoC and Ogres the most. I also have fully painted WE, LM, and DE. Right now I am working on my Empire army, which I plan to bring to the Brawler Bash this year. I only have a few more units to paint up and they should be good to go.
So if you see a large bald headed fellow from High Point come and introduce yourself.

Welcome to the forums Tony! Glad you took the time to listen and sign up. Tony has been a big help in the past for the Brawler Bash. He along with Bobby Ash and other guys in that group have loaned us tables and terrain. We would not have been able to do what we have done without their help! So major props to supporting the local WFB scene. Empire huh? Cool. They are an interesting army in 8th. I have considered bringing mine back out as well (with a face lift and some new units!) -Erik

Hey Tony! WOW that is a lot of painted armies! I'd love to hear what you have in the lists. I was tooling with empire lists this week because I procured an extra 100+ of the latest figs in a great bartertown deal. Plus, the Heelanhammer guys were talking about how detachments just seemed "wrong" in a terrific way for the empire general. Got me excited about building some halbardier detachments for my swordsmen units.

Most of my armies were made with 7th in mind, and I haven't had the time to bulk them out for 8th. I have been into Warhammer since 2nd edition and just love it. My WoC could easily be 10,000+ pts and growing. I have pretty much every unit in the AB bulked out. I have always played more of an infantry style list which suits 8th nicely. Chaos has always been my true love since the mid-80's reading about Jaek and Helwood taking on Khaleb Dark. Ogres: I can get 2500+, but I haven't bulked out the units for 8th. Lots of Butchers and Ironguts DE: Made this my shooting army for 6th ed. 2500 pts, mostly RXB and 4 RBTs WE: 2500 this list is mostly all fast cav. I painted it up during the course of a month to try out "dipping". I can't even buy a win with this army. LM: 3000pts the problem with this list is that I found out I made an exact copy of my chaos army (2 or 3 large blocks of troops supported by cav and other fun stuff), just with LM. I started my Empire army a few months before 8th came out. It is slowly coming along. I know I should bulk up the spearmen and swordsmen to 30 at least, but here is my working list: Lev 4 Wizard - have Light, Metal, Bright, and Life/Beasts painted up cannot decide, but have been using the Light. General on Pegasus w/+3 attacks sword/charmed shield/white cloak Captain-BSB Warrior Priest 25 Swordsmen 25 Spearmen 21 Greatswords have detachments of X-bows or Halb (not painted) 10 Archers (primed) 2 Great Cannons 1 Hellblaster or Helstorm 2x5 Pistoliers (primed) 12 IC knights (7 painted) 2x10 HGs (10 painted) I have most up on my never updated blog powerposey.blogspot.com/
