Alrighty then! I got through half the episode and built 20 Halberdiers and painted my test model for the two units of Halberdiers. Things are rolling right along now. I still have 10 more Halberdiers and 26 hand gunners to build for Sunday though. The good news is I have models I can proxy with if I dont get em done. I really wanna try these guys out.
I've had most of the models for over a year and just recently started building em. So far I have built:
30 Flagellants 50 Halberdiers 2 Great cannons 1 Helstrom Rocket Battery 30 Swordsmen 1 Mortar 32 Knights Engineer General on foot and mounted BSB Captain
My list is also complete for Sunday which doesn't include the Knights. I want to really be sure which army I'm bringing to Adepticon this year... so far the Daemons have the lead big time.
I just noticed my guillotine in the background of that picture LOL Horray for Unit Fillers!

I've been pretty excited about the empire since I got that Halberdier painted. I finished Episode 3 and while listening I got a crap ton done. Everything I had previously built is now magnetized and everything I had finished building while listening to the episode is also now magnetized. While I was building Santa came and dropped off my new Empire General with Hand weapon and Shield. Its in my stocking and he said I cant have it until morning. He wanted an update on how my kids had been today as he was so busy. Anyway... Here is the 2200 point army minus the 26 Handgunners which will get built tomorrow. It's pretty hordish if I do say so myself. Pictured is Left to right Swordsman Detachment, halberdiers, Flagies With Warrior Priest in the unit, Halberdiers with General and BSB in the unit, Swordsmen, Level 4 Life mage. Back row; Rocket Battery, 2 cannons Engineer, and a Mortar. I know its grey plastic but I'm pretty excited that I got this far this week!

Again, kudos. So are you doing super straight-forward basing? What are your movement tray plans?

Yes rocks and grass on the base to match my table. Movement trays to match basing.

You may have gamer ADD but at least you get models painted! I have owned Brets, Ogres, Dwarves, Skaven (old), and now Dark elves, VC, new Skaven, and in progress of rebuilding a new Ogre army. I have about 10 models in my Dark Elves painted and 20 Ghouls and 10 graveguard for my VC. And yep that's it.. everything else is either flashy grey plastic or super fancy black matte primed! Hoping with the low model count and enjoyment Ive had with my Ogres so far I will actually be able to get this one painted and have an army for Adepticon! But I'm sure another army will catch my eye before then and I will be back to square one. Just know you are never alone when it comes to Gamer ADD.
