That last one reminds me of medusa from the original Clash of the Titans (haven't seen the lastest one.)
Dark and woody force. I like that the bases contrast with the darkness of the figs. Considering a flashy army accent color or keeping it dark?
What unit will you be working on next?

Thanks for the feedback. My goal is/was to give them a real basic earthy/dirty look. I need to go back and finish some detailing. I definitely wanted them to have a dark feel like Tom mentioned. The last shot is of a Alter Kindred model totally converted from Dryad bits and wherever the great weapon may come from(back when great weapons were good for WE's), the lower part is all green stuff. I can't take credit as a friend did the model and I inherited it when I bought the used army. That being said the army had a winter theme so I have painted/repainted 99% of everything. @tom Not sure which way to go as far as a final accent color to bring things together. I have really only been doing this for about a year and I have no real skill with proper painting, shading, or layering techniques. Pretty much winging it Thanks again for the comments.

More pics...... Treeman suffering from the same problem of being dull looking.. Some Treekin. I am not a real fan of the older models. I think these were 5th Ed Treemen? (except the middle Fen Beast, which I want all my Treekin to be) Dryads. I have like 42 of these painted up. Are the pics too big?

Great stuff. I really like the very subtle color scheme. It's a refreshing change from some of the crazy bright colors we see on some armies these days.

I just started painting some of my wood elves and they are similar to these in most respects. Rich browns and greens. It seems everyone wants to do the fall colors because the yellows and oranges stand out, but my wood elves are going to be the exact same colors that I paint my forests. They should blend into the trees as if they are a part of them. Even my horses are all a rich brown color to match the forest around them. You won't see these wood elves or their mounts until it is far too late.
