Alright! I'm on a mission! I need to get the army built for Merry Mayhem in Madison, WI, on Dec 4th. Then I need to get it painted for Waaagh! Paca in Waupaca, WI, on Jan 22nd.
Wood Elves Roster - 2000pt Waagh! Paca 2011
Wood Elf Highborn General @ 255.0 pts (Eternal Kindred; The Rhymer's Harp; An Annoyance of Netlings)
Spellweaver (Beasts) @ 245.0 pts (Stone of Rebirth)
12 Dryads @ 144.0 pts
23 Eternal Guard @ 351.0 pts (Full command, Razor Standard)
5 Glade Riders @ 147.0 pts (Musician; Standard Bearer)
10 Wardancers @ 187.0 pts (Musician)
3 Warhawk Riders @ 120.0 pts
7 Wild Riders of Kurnous @ 225.0 pts (Musician; Standard Bearer; War Banner)
5 Tree Kin @ 325.0 pts
Total Roster Cost: 1999
The list is based on wardancers in the woods. So wardancers on foot, horse, and bird, plus woods that are alive. I really enjoyed the wardancers in the Black Library book, Guardians of the Forest. However, as I mentioned in episode 1, this pic is the basic inspiration for the army.
In addition to the above basis for the list, these are my other thoughts:
My previous work on the army is at my blogspot. I'll post more pics here as I accomplish more.

In addition to the above basis for the list, these are my other thoughts:
- The general gives the eternal guard unit a 5+ ward save so they don't fall down quite as quickly
- Beast lore provides +1T/+1S in base Wyssan's Wildform augment spell. Reduces incoming wounds and increases outgoing wounds. I like that the name "Wildform" sounds like a crazed wardancer.
- I have conversions for my dryad unit where each rank will be a different stage of the female spirits transforming into their war aspects.
- At 2000 points, I simply want a variety of units for appearance. So one of each, and slightly small to allow more variety and deployments. Treekin are the obvious hammer.
- Maxed my lord allowance.
- I don't view glade riders as points well spent, and would prefer a BSB play-wise. However, I think the conversions of wardancers on horses with capes, bows, and spears will be cool.
- I've got plenty of 3rd edition wardancers which where armour and sometimes have pole-arms for the eternal guard. Will bump the unit to at least 28 first, and then consider a 2nd unit.
