Tom, that is righteous! How much sleep did you pass up to get it done?
I'm impressed. You put my project to shame, I now appear a total slacker.
Also, kudos for holding your own with WE.

Thanks, guys! I'm stoked that I got to field it in a condition I was happy with, and I really enjoyed the army build.
Hodge, it was less than 24 hours painting total for 66 figs plus 15 mounts. I had a few extra wardancers and dryads than I fielded in the list.

Man, I should have built a Wood Elf army.
66 models. Nice. My High Elves aren't even that elite.
Once again, you da man.

Waaagh!Paca 2012 approach-eth!
I took savage orcs to CoreComp in September, and I won 1 out of 5 games. (That's right, Chris Yu! Everybody else beat me EXCEPT you, Yu!)
I took daemons to NorthStar in November, and I won 1 out of 5 games. (seriously? I got tabled three times - skaven, high elves, high elves.)
I suck!!!
So back to the wood elves for Waaagh!Paca 2012. (most likely) Playtesting with my home-boys Tupp and Wiltze. Tempted to go less elves and more trees by increasing the dryad count. However, just a big fan of having a big mix of units. Feels more like an army, ya know? Quite worried about the toughness 3, but I figure just keep the fey ones out of combat till later turns if possible.
My 2000 pt list:
Spellweaver General, 340 pts 1 Stone of Rebirth 1 Crown of Command 1 An Annoyance of Netlings 1 The Lore of Life
- I tried a game with beasts for the Wyssan's Wildform, but it didn't really seem as useful as life could be.
Wood Elf Noble (Battle Standard Bearer), 90 pts
- Naked. Just there for the treeman. Could do Asyendi's Bane and Hail of Doom, but really think the second eagle will be useful.
8 Dryads, 96 pts (Causes Fear; Skirmishers)
- Throw away, but they'll deal some paper cuts first.
20 Glade Guard, 268 pts (Musician; Standard Bearer) 1 Banner of Eternal Flame
- Bunker for the stubborn mage. If they're going to get charged, they'll provide a flank to minimize attacks and the mage & bsb won't make way.
5 Glade Riders, 147 pts (Musician; Standard Bearer)
- I like my conversions. Can threaten war machines or redirect chargers.
4 Tree Kin, 260 pts 4 Tree Kin, 260 pts
- The muscle of the army. Too small to take a unit of by themselves. So I'll put a sacrifice (eagle) in front so that they are hit by the overrun allowing the second unit or treeman to flank.
5 Wild Riders of Kurnous, 153 pts (Musician; Standard Bearer) 1 Gleaming Pennant
Fast with ward, again for dealing with war machines. Quick to get in the backfield. Fragile.
- Treeman, 285 pts
Love the T6, stubborn, strangleroot. Concerned about flaming cannons.
Great Eagle, 50 pts Great Eagle, 50 pts
Redirecters, mage-hunters, and war machine hunters.
Composition Report: Points of Lords: 340 (0 - 500) Points of Heroes: 90 (0 - 500) Points of Core: 511 (500 - Unlimited) (Just enough) Points of Special: 673 (0 - 1000) Points of Rare: 385 (0 - 500)
Total Roster Cost: 1999
So I have to build and paint up the treeman, 20 archers, and 2 eagles. Two months, so hoping to make strides on army highlights, basing, and display base.
Don't be shy! Give me your thoughts!
