Got 7 of the 8 treekin drilled, pinned, assembled, greenstuffed, pinned to GF9, corked, and pumiced over two late night bluetooth hobby sessions with Jim E. I lucked out big time as he had the treekin pose I needed for the 8th fig, and we promptly worked out a trade. I'm extremely happy that with creative pinning and greenstuff, all of the figs look different even though there are only 3 poses.

Not sure if you have seen these. I made them a while ago for my WE army. Was my first attemt and there are some things that I would change. I plan to make 3 stone kin and 3 vine kin to go with them. Materials used; hardboard for base (free) dried twigs (free) paper clips for pinning (free/recycled) leftovers from dryad kit (free as i had them in bits box) slate chips for bases (free from garden centre broken bits) flock/scatter (cost=pennies) miliput (cost=pennies) Here are some pics of work in progress Pic of base colours. total cost so far =a few pence each and a bit of time and patience. Well I,ve finished them upto a gaming standard. I will be doing some more in the near future. have made a few mistakes with these and there are some bits i will do diferent next time. here are some pics of them ready for the table. let me know what you think. Dave.

I think getting points for detailed conversion work while saving a horde of money is a mighty fine deal! Well done! I really like your colorful attention to the moss details.
I also think that to most observers a stick guy looks like a stick guy looks like a stick guy. I recall never being remotely interested in the treekin figs because they looked like a pile of sticks. I never was really interested in the variations of dryad figs either. Now that I have spent time with the figs, I appreciate them and like them a lot. However, in the scheme of fielding dryads and treekin, really any conversion will likely do and have the added benefit of being interesting!

Bunch of sissy elfish types. Glad to see you actually working on another army Tom and maybe even playing with it. Gonna get it done in two weeks?

I have gotten organized to assemble my dryads which are converted with daemonette bodies and to assemble my warhawks. With luck, I'll get these mostly done tonight. I've realized I will only have 1 week to paint the entire army. So I will be using washes galore.
