Kevin and I are planning on coming! I think Jerry parsley from Charlotte is also planning on making the trip. Maybe he is bringing some folks with him as well? Not sure on that though.

Bobby, I think at least three of us are coming from Charlotte. Couple of questions.
Is there comp? (powerscroll...)
What armies are allowed (can i use the chaos dwarfs? Ravening hordes? Indy book?)
is the tourny going to have prizes for best paint etc as well? or is it just overall?
Thanks, let me know! Jerry

Glad you'll be able to make it.
We run our tournaments with the following:
Best Overall Best General Best Sportsman Best Painted Best Army (combo or paint and composition) Whipping Boy
We do have a comp system in place. No power scrolls, no special characters, and no over the top list (ie. 2 Steamtanks).
I am not running this one, but playing in it. I will ask the guy running it, Scott about the armies and post back.
We run store credit back as prizes for all tournament proceeds to the above categories. $200 then it is $200 worth of credit out.
Thanks
Bobby

Take form the gameongw yahoo site:
WOW!!!! What a great turn out by some truley great players. Sixteen in total and what a fun day it was. We had players from Raliegh and Charlotte and points in between. I wouldlike to thank everyone for showing up and playing. I know we had a couple of snafu's with the wrong paper work but for the first tournament of the year and being held at a new and hopefully permanent location I think things went great. If you came out Sat and had a good time or just simply watched tell your friends and bring them along next time. The next fantasy tournie will probably be in June. And now for the results:
Best Overall: Ian (VC) Good to see the raliegh crowd making it out and playing hard as usual
Best General: Jerry (Bretts) glad to see these guys are still popular (and by the way they looked great)
Best Army: Bobby (WE) whose dice totally left him in the last game
Best Painted: Brett ( WoC) who had two really great looking warshrine conversions
Best Sport: Eric (Brett) always plays you hard to win but an opponent you dont mind losing to
Whipping Boy: whose name wont be revealed to protect the innocent but did recieved a nice prize so that he can buy his new army book next week
Once again thanks to everyone for showing up, without you the wonderful group of players we have none of this would be possible.
Scott

Kevin and I had a great time at this event. The store was a really comfortable, clean, friendly space. I look forward to playing there again This was my first sportsman award! I wonder if playing Brets had anything to do with it? I have really been enjoying them lately and I think it kinda shows when I play. Good tournament. We will talk about it in the next ep of Brohammer. -Erik
